This perhaps isn't the place for such a rant, but I wanted to share my thoughts with people. I'm becoming increasingly aware that so few people know where their everyday things come from. I was talking a lady the otherday and realised she didn't know that plastic's derive from oil. It just wasn't something she had ever thought about. When people talk about what will happen when oil runs out, they talk about petrol mostly. But they don't seem to think about plastic. the components in their car, the circuit boards in their computer, the silicone chip that runs them, the chairs we sit on. I work part time in a pub. It is my satisfied and excitable pleasure to finally reveal (to those of you I hadn't already spilled the beans too), that the 'big' job I've been so engrossed in for the past few weeks/months is finally complete. For sometime now I've been ferreting away in the darkest depths of South London, committing what some would regard as the greatest crime in Fashion - Chopping and distorting priceless (but often ugly) bags and purses to be transformed into animals for the New Bond Street Louis Vuitton store.
