Completed WareWolf

Glad Deviant Art has made this new category, otherwise it would be pretty hard to classify a muppet. So, in continuation from 'Design for Warewolf' [link] I slowly but surely reached my goal ( minus a tongue, which will be sculpted in clay next term, and cast in foam filled latex).

Size: About a Meter in Length, from head to Tail.
Materials: Reticulated Foam, Uppulstrey foam, Plasterzote, Sculpey, Muslin, Latex, Acrylics, Fleece and Fur.

The Body and Head were made from a pattern taken from the original plasticine sculpture. The pattern was blown up on a photocopier, then cut from 1inch (for the body) and 1/2 inch Foam (For the head). The foam is glued together using copydex and evostick, which takes too long, leaving you quite mashed.

The ears, inner mouth, Nose, Eyes, were carved out of Plasterzote. Tail, Feet and Hind Quarters were carved out of 4 to 6 inch uppulstrey foam. The feeling of which makes me want to rip my fingernails out.

The required areas are then covered with a neat layer of muslin attached with copydex, then a few more layers of latex, then latex and paint, and a top coat of plain latex to protect it a bit.

Then fleece is stretched and glued into place. For the fur, a pattern is made out of calico, then the pieces are cut from the fur ensuring the fur is heading in the right direction, the edges of the fur have to be dabbed all around with copydex before stitching them together and attaching to the body.

I'd like to add, that without the help of Pete and Lisa being my sewing and gluing slaves I would never have finished my puppet intime. Thanks guys. More photos to follow.
